1984
Where It All Began
- Founded on 5th June 1984 by Mr. Mirisch Damani
- Operations began in rented premises
- Introduced Neoplast™ TPVs in India for the first time
- Initial production capacity: 300 TPA
1987 – 1992
Expanding Possibilities
- Introduced the Hipolyene™ range of PP compounds – a first in India
- Enabled India’s first single-piece injection moulded IP for Tata Mobil 207
- Developed multiple new automotive applications showcasing the versatility of PP compounds
1993 – 1997
Building Scale and Credibility
- Expanded customer base to include GM, Fiat, Hindustan Motors & supplied PP compounds, TPOs and TPVs
- Achieved profitability, moved into own facility in Nasik, Maharashtra
- Capacity scaled to 3000 TPA
1998 – 2001
Partnering Landmark Programs
- Selected as key material partner for India’s first indigenous small car – Tata Indica – covering all interiors & exteriors plastic parts
- Commissioned Plant II at Sinnar, MH, enhancing total capacity to 5000 TPA
- Partnered with Mytex AP (Mitsubishi) to supply PP compounds to Toyota
2003 – 2007
Becoming a Trusted Industry Partner
- Enhanced total capacity to 11000 TPA
- Selected as a strategic RM supplier to Tata Motors for future programs
- Approved by Mahindra for new programs & Toyota for Innova platform
- Received the SPE award for the highest plastics consumption in a vehicle – Tata Safari
2008 – 2013
Diversifying & Strengthening Reach and Capabilities
- Approved as strategic supplier to Renault Nissan, Bharat Benz (Daimler), Volkswagen, AL-Nissan, Ashok Leyland, & Mahindra Navistar for PP, TPO & TPV compounds
- Expanded Neoplast™ range of TPV compounds for Medical, Wire & Cable & Agriculture applications
- Launched Hiflex™ & Entec™ range of PP composites with glass and minerals
- Introduced the Neoflex™ range of TPE compounds based on SBCs
- Diversified into Sheet extrusion manufacturing through Zylog Composites, launched the CompSpec™ range of flexible TPO sheets for vacuum forming of automotive carpets
- Set up a new manufacturing plant in Chennai. Total capacity enhanced to 32000 TPA
2016 – 2018
A Defining Shift
- Divested PP compounding business to LyondellBasell – transferring assets, business and people across Sinnar & Chennai plants
- Chartered a new course for Zylog 2.0 – focusing on Thermoplastic Elastomers compounds with a capacity of 3000 TPA
- Launched Neolloy™ range of TPO compounds
- Defined a new vision: to become India’s leading TPE processor
2018 – 2025
Building the Next Phase
- Forward integrated into manufacturing new products – converting material expertise to applications for end-use
- Launched GreenShield™ range of TPO, HDPE, EVA membranes for the construction industry – a first in India
- Zylog Composites transitioned into a full-fledged Tier I company – designing & manufacturing large parts for Bus, Trucks, Railways & Defence
- Total Polymer Processing capacity expanded to 31,000 TPA across Compounding, Sheet Extrusion & Thermoforming

Mr. Mirisch Damani
Founder & Chairman
Mirisch Damani is the Founder & Chairman of Zylog. With a vision to bring new technologies to India, he established Zylog in 1984 in India, with a primary focus to manufacture and supply TPOs, TPVs and PP Compounds to the Indian automotive industry. Mr. Damani holds a BSc – Chemistry from University of Bombay, India; MS – Polymer Science from University of Akron, Ohio, USA and MBA from Indiana University, USA.
Mr. Aschak Damani
Managing Director
Aschak Damani joined Zylog in mid 2004; after completing his MBA from Chicago, USA. After having trained in various areas of the business for the first 6 years; Aschak was tasked to develop new automotive OEM customers.
